We do not even believe in the events which happen to us, love, death, as if they only half concerned us &#8230; The link between man and the world is broken. Henceforth, this link must become an object of belief: it is the impossible which can only be restored within a faith. &#8230; We need reasons to believe in this world. &#8230; What is certain is that believing is no longer believing in another world, or in a transformed world. <p>Studying finance critically is playing with – while being played by – the normative forces of financial apparatuses; risking one’s self in the course of producing radically novel ways of thinking and comprehending finance and, ultimately, of creating new possibilities of life.</p>
